Dental Checkups for Preventive Care
Regular routine checkups allow us to spot early warning signs of dental issues. This allows us to treat them while they’re reversible, preventing the dreaded toothache.

What To Expect At Your Check-Up
For your routine visits, we start by asking you about your dental and general health, whether you have any concerns, and if anything has changed.
We then thoroughly examine your mouth, teeth and gums, checking for any signs of weakened enamel, gingivitis, and anything else that could cause you a problem.
We may take X-rays of your teeth and jaws, allowing us to spot issues with hidden decay, loss of bone mass, or infected roots
If you require any treatment, we can discuss this with you, including options, costs and timeframes. This will then allow you to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
We can also give your teeth a thorough scale and clean, removing any staining and buildup/tartar to leave your teeth looking and feeling great
Fissure Seals For Healthy Teeth
A dental fissure seal (also known as a sealant) if a protective layer of white or clear resin applied to a tooth. They are used in areas which are challenging to clean, or if some early decay is spotted. There is no need for local anaesthetic, as the procedure is quick and painless.
Sealants can help to prevent cavities by prividing a barrier against bacteria. This can save a lot of expensive treatment in the future.
If the decay has not been caught in time and can’t be sealed, we can place a filling (white fillings are available), or sometimes a crown or onlay to reduce the risk of painful infections. We recommend early interventions to maximise your dental health.
